Buyers Guide

Choosing a block of land
Selecting the right block of land is not always as easy as it may seem. Here are some areas you need to consider to help you purchase the right allotment for you.

Size
Do you require a certain lot size? This may be an overall size or a certain frontage and depth requirement. Will I have adequate yard for pergola, swimming pool, storage shed. Read about the different Lot Types available at Arena at Officer.

Building Envelopes
Are there any building envelopes attached to the allotment? Building envelopes create a 3D perimeter of the area your house can occupy. They provide space and privacy from adjoining properties but may restrict the type of home you can build on the block.

Setbacks
What are the setback requirements from the front side and rear of the property boundaries? Usually your home must be setback from the street frontage a minimum of 4 - 5 metres. Side setbacks and rear setbacks vary depending upon the height of your home. This is to protect you and your neighbours from any overlooking or overshadowing issues.
